What I’m working on, right now
A dated snapshot — current ships, what’s in the queue, what I’m open to, what I’m not. If the date at the top is more than three weeks old, hold me to it on email or WhatsApp. Inspired by nownownow.com.
Shipping this week
NoonSpy — deeper AI Verdict reasoning
Pulling the written next action further toward specifics. The hedge language was too safe. Rewriting prompts so the Verdict reads like a sharp friend's answer, not a legal disclaimer.
Hanooon — custom product configurator
Size + colour + edge-finish picker for Corian and mirror products, with live per-m² pricing. The current builder is 'contact us for a quote'; the new one quotes in the browser.
Portfolio — this very site
Shipping an engineering writeup of the NoonSpy architecture, cleaning up the nav for low-contrast backgrounds, and preparing /work pages for Awwwards submission.
In the queue (next 30 days)
Launch NoonSpy on ProductHunt
First PH launch. Prepping gallery screenshots, a 60-second demo video, and the first comment. Aiming for a Thursday launch.
Awwwards + SiteInspire submission
Site is at the bar; just need to prep the preview assets and short description, then submit.
GBP (Hanooon Design Studio) verification
Video verification submitted to Google — awaiting the 5-day review. If approved, Hanooon Design Studio enters the Abu Dhabi local pack for 'web developer' queries.
Open to
AI product features — Claude, GPT, Gemini
Especially: product-scoring engines, bilingual (AR/EN) listing or reply generators, workflow automation, Chrome extensions that put AI directly inside the tools people already use.
WooCommerce + custom theme builds
If you have a product that is not a normal product (per-m², per-edge-length, custom-fabricated, variation-priced), the stock Woo setup falls over fast. I like fixing that.
Next.js SaaS MVPs
6-10 week engagements end-to-end — frontend, backend, Stripe billing, auth, admin dashboards, launch. Comfortable owning the whole stack.
Chrome extensions (Manifest V3)
Niche surface area, high value when done right. I ship both my own extensions and client ones.
Not taking on
Pure design jobs with no engineering
If the deliverable is a Figma file for someone else to build, I am not the right person. I build what I design.
Crypto / Web3 projects
Interesting technically; not aligned with where I want to spend time.
Projects that will not share customer context
If I cannot talk to one real user before I write a line of code, the project is a guess. I would rather turn it down than ship something no one asked for.
Reading / learning
The Pragmatic Engineer newsletter
Gergely's teardowns of how big engineering orgs actually work remain the best internet money I spend.
Anthropic's engineering blog on structured output
Rewriting the Verdict pipeline to use structured output end-to-end. 20% latency win in testing; even bigger quality win on the Arabic path.
Playing with Claude Code and the Agent SDK
Shipping some of my own tooling with it; probably going to write about where it earns its keep and where it doesn't.
