Overview
A small business sells on what the camera returned to it. Honest, well-made photographs of real spaces — not stock, not AI — are rarer in this market than they should be. This case covers two client worlds I've shot on the same kit: a ladies' salon in Abu Dhabi, and a general contractor's completed buildings.
Green Velvet — the salon shoot
A full-day shoot of Green Velvet Ladies Salon, room by room — reception, lounge, hair, nails, pedicure, facial and the signature Moroccan bath. The pictures had to carry the brand across the website, Instagram feed, printed menu and Google Business profile from a single session.
Soft, warm interior lighting called for a lower-contrast grade than a construction site needs. The gold-and-emerald interior palette was protected rather than pushed.
Four Style — the construction shoots
Two complete handovers for an Abu Dhabi contractor — a full school campus in Al Wathba and a municipal wedding hall (Remah) in Al Khazna, Sweihan. Document each building end to end: exterior, main interiors, specialist spaces and external works, for the firm's website and marketing.
Approach
Walk the brief with the client before unpacking. Shoot wide first, then detail. Return at the hour the space needs. Deliver edited, colour-corrected files sized for web, print and social — not raw card dumps.
Gear
Nikon D5500 for stills, iPhone 17 Pro Max for reels — a lean kit that keeps the pace fast on an active site and doesn't dominate a quiet treatment room. Processed in Lightroom against a consistent profile so a session reads as one body of work.
A ten-frame cut from the salon session — reception through signature Moroccan bath. Click any frame to open.
A ten-frame walk of the campus — approach, entrance, interior circulation, specialist spaces and service rooms. Signature tensile-shade courtyard sits in the main plates above.
